The Consulate General of Brazil in Houston ONLY issues visas for residents of:

Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas

Checklist for Brazil Business Visa (VITEM II):

1. ACTUAL PASSPORT:

   PASSPORT MUST BE SIGNED, and have at least six (6) months validity remaining before expiration, and has at least two (2) continuous complete blank VISA pages for the visa stamp.

   *The last 3 pages on the passport are not visa pages and not acceptable!

2. E-VISA APPLICATION:

   Completed eVisa Application for Brazil on SCEDV web site .

   On the home page of SCEDV web site, click "VISA REQUEST" under "VISA" Section on the left menu.

   An application number will be assigned to you once you have completed entering the information.

   Please sign the receipt. The signature on the receipt must be original, not faxed or photocopied, and MUST match the one in your passport.

    

   * For Minors under age 18:

   a. Must submit a notarized copy of birth certificate.

   b. Application receipt for minors must be notarized and signed by BOTH parents.

   c. A notarized travel authorization form: Travel Authorization Form for Minors.

   This is mandatory, even if both parents are traveling with the child!

   The travel authorization must be legalized by a Brazilian Consulate, Please note that a consular fee of US$20.00 will be charged to legalize the travel authorization form

    

3. ONE (1) COLOR 2"x2" passport type photo:

   Homemade Digital Photographs are not acceptable!

4. A copy of AIR or SHIP TICKET or TRAVEL ITINERARY:
   

5. A notarized COPY OF or anoriginalutility bill with your full name shown

6. Clear and complete ORDER FORM

7. For Business Visa:

   (1) Business Letter:

   Original business letter from the employer or sponsoring company - on the letterhead stationary and signed (The signature on the letter must be original!) by a senior manager which including:

   • Nature of business of the US company.
   • Applicant title and/or functions with the US company and his/her precise nature of business and activities to be conducted in Brazil.
   • Responsibility of the US company for the applicant's stay in Brazil and his/her return to the country of origin.
   • Name(s) and address(es) of Brazilian companies with which the applicant is going to deal/negotiate.
   • Contact people, phone number and his/her/their functions with the Brazilian company in Brazil.
   • Duration of stay of their immediate trip to Brazil.

    

   (2) Invitation Letter from company/institute in Brazil:

   • Must be addressed to the Consulate of Brazil.
   • Must explain the nature or purpose of business and the duration of the proposed business trip.
   • Must state the name as well as the addresses of individuals, departments and organizations in Brazil you intend to visit.

8. CONSULATE FEES for Brazil visa:

   Consulate fee should be made ONLY in U.S. POSTAL MONEY ORDER, payable to the “CONSULATE GENERAL OF BRAZIL”.

   For US passport holders: $160

   For NON-US* passport holders: $40, EXCEPT:

   ALGERIA	US$ 80.00
   AUSTRALIA	US$ 55.00
   ANGOLA	US$ 120.00

   *ATTENTION:

   For all NON-US passport holders, you MUST attach a notarized copy of your green card, valid visa or other legal status proof with validation longer than 6 months.

9. SERVICE FEES for Brazil visa:

   Regular: 3-6 weeks, $99 / applicant

   Express: 7-10 business days, $149 / applicant

   Rush:  4-5 business days, $199 / applicant

10. RETURN SHIPPING: $20 (Fedex regular 2-3 days) or $39 (Fedex Standard Overnight)

    Shipping only charge ONCE, no matter how many passports (less than 10)!

    PAYMENT: Total FEE = section 8 + section 9 + section 10.
