India Visa

We only process India visa applications for residents of the following states:

If you are living in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas

Please choose "USA - Houston" as your  Indian Mission (Consulate) when you fill the application form. 

If you are living in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virgin Islands.

Please choose "USA - Atlanta" as your Indian Mission (Consulate) when you fill the application form. 

 

The mailing checklist is as below:

1. Valid Passport (MUST signed!) with at least 6 months validation and at least 2 blank visa pages.

2. Application Form: Click here to complete and submit the visa application form online.

   • The visa application form must be:
   • Printed single sided on two pages;
   • Signed inside the box under the photo on the 1^st page and on the 2^nd page;
   • Follow the guidelines below to make sure your visa application form to be accepted:
     
     1) Indian Mission (Consulate): You must select the right option based on your residence: "USA - Houston" or "USA - Atlanta".
     2) Name: The name on your application must be exactly the same as it appears in your passport.
     3) Date of Birth: It must be entered in the format of DD/MM/YYY.
     4) Present Address: It must exactly match the address on the proof of address that needs to be submitted.
     5) Period of Visa: Enter "6 months", "5 years" or "10 years".
     6) Purpose of Visit: Use "tourist", "sightseeing", or "visit friends" to relate to the tourist visa.
     7) Before submitting, review all your answers carefully as you can't make any change once it's submitted!

4.  A copy of your driver's license (both sides) or a utility bill within 3 months as the proof of address.

7. * For Business Visa (B), you also need to provide a Business Cover Letter from your company stating purpose of travel (must indicate the traveler will be going to India for "meetings and discussions only"), dates of travel, name and contact of the company in India, 1 year or 5 years visa, and financial guarantee for all your expenses. For 5 year visa must be accompanied by details of future planned trips. 
8. * For Business Visa (B), you also need to provide an Letter of Invitation from the sponsoring company/institute in India on company letterhead indicating the nature of applicant's business, probable duration of stay, 1 year or 5 year visa, places and organizations to visit, and a guarantee to meet maintenance expenses. 
9. * For Employment Visa (E), you also need to provide the Employment Appointment Letter, Contract Letter, Personal Resume, and the proof of Registration in India of the hiring company. 
10. * For Student Visa (S), a letter confirming admission from an institution along with evidence of financial arrangements for the stay in India should be submitted with the application. In case of admission in medical or paramedical courses, a letter of approval or no objection certificate from the Indian Ministry of Health is also required. Similarly, for admission to graduate or post-graduate courses in engineering/ technical institutions, a letter of approval or a no objection certificate from the Ministry of Human Resources Development (Department of Education) is required.

 

**Additional Requirements For Minors Under 18 Only:

1. The visa application form for a minor must be signed by both parents on the second page. On the first page, the minor should sign, or use a thumbprint in black ink if the minor cannot write, inside the box.

2. Copy of the minor's birth certificate and copy of both parents' passports (picture & signature page only).
