The Consulate General of Brazil in Houston ONLY issues visas for residents of:

Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas

Checklist for Brazil Tourist Visa:

1. ACTUAL PASSPORT:

   PASSPORT MUST BE SIGNED, and have at least six (6) months validity remaining before expiration, and has at least two (2) continuous complete blank VISA pages for the visa stamp.

   *The last 3 pages on the passport are not visa pages and not acceptable!

2. E-VISA APPLICATION:

   Completed eVisa Application for Brazil on SCEDV web site .

   On the home page of SCEDV web site, click "VISA REQUEST" under "VISA" Section on the left menu.

   An application number will be assigned to you once you have completed entering the information.

   Please sign the receipt. The signature on the receipt must be original, not faxed or photocopied, and MUST match the one in your passport.

    

   * For Minors under age 18:

   a. Must submit a notarized copy of birth certificate.

   b. Application receipt for minors must be notarized and signed byBOTH parents.

   c. A notarized travel authorization form: Travel Authorization Form for Minors.

   This is mandatory, even if both parents are traveling with the child!

   The travel authorization must be legalized by a Brazilian Consulate, Please note that a consular fee of US$20.00 will be charged to legalize the travel authorization form

    

3. ONE (1) COLOR 2"x2" passport type photo:

   Homemade Digital Photographs are not acceptable!

4. A copy of AIR or SHIP TICKET or TRAVEL ITINERARY:

   With the applicant's FULL name and a clear departure date on it.

5. A notarized CLEAR COPY OF DRIVER'S LICENSE or an original utility bill with your full name shown
   

6. Completed ORDER FORM

7. CONSULATE FEES for Brazil visa:

   Consulate fee should be made ONLY in U.S. POSTAL MONEY ORDER, payable to the “CONSULATE GENERAL OF BRAZIL”.

   For US passport holders: $160

   For NON-US* passport holders: $40, EXCEPT:

   ALGERIA	US$ 80.00
   AUSTRALIA	US$ 55.00
   ANGOLA	US$ 120.00

   *ATTENTION:

   For all NON-US passport holders, you MUST attach a copy of your green card, valid visa or other legal status proof with validation longer than 6 months.

8. SERVICE FEES for Brazil visa:

   Regular: 3-6 weeks, $99 / applicant

   Express: 7-10 business days, $149 / applicant

   Rush:  4-5business days, $199 / applicant

9. RETURN SHIPPING: $20 (Fedex regular 2-3 days) or $39 (Fedex Standard Overnight)

   Shipping only charge ONCE, no matter how many passports inside (less than 10)!

   PAYMENT: Total FEE = section 7 + section 8 + section 9.
